Reader Review: Lypsyl Lypsensitivity

Lypsyl Lypsensitivity with Aloe Vera

This reader review comes from frequent commenter, Sandy. Lypsyl products are one of those things that I realize I should post more of, so I’m definitely grateful that she took the time to write this one out! Thanks, Sandy!

PRICE: $3.99 at www.drugstore.com or anywhere else you can find Lypsyl products

PACKAGING: As you can see, its a tub lip balm with a screw on lid. It has a ‘Tree’ colored lid with ‘Lypsyl’ written accross it ith a picture of a bee, the ‘Birth’ year (1905), and the slogan (with pure Swedish Beeswax)

TEXTURE/GLIDE: It can be a little harder in the winter and might melt in the summer, but when you have it just right, it’s glide is fantastic! It feels light but stays put. It’s waxy but no too waxy, but if you put alot on, it can look shiny and a teensy bit greasy. My favourite part is that it doesn’t leave alot of residue on you finger after applying it. Mm… it’s super moisturizing!

FLAVOR/SMELL: I have the Lypsensitivity, so its made for more sensitive lips and has no flavour/smell except for a hint of honey. Other flavours are the LypMoisturiser (original/ mint), LypMoisturizer (Honey Berry), LypMedication with Eucalyptus, and LypRadiance Honey Rose. I haven’t tried these before because I’m not even halfway finished my current lip balms.

LASTING POWER: hm… about 2 hours, and when its faded away, your lips are dry but not chaped (do you know what i mean?)

INGREDIENTS: Petrolatum, Beeswax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit (Organic), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria Extract, Bixa Orellana Seed Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit. E Acetate), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate), Propylparaben

ANYTHING ELSE: I find this as the perfect winter balm. If only it had SPF (By the way, one of the other lip balms does have SPF.)

OVERALL: I love this balm! Its a great winter balm. Nothing else I can say. I rate it a 5 out of 5

I LOVE this lip balm, and love that is pretty much unscented except for slight honey. I agree I wish it had SPF, and wish it came in a tube like the others! The mint & mint berry are just too flavored for my liking, but this one is awesome!  (Quote)
