I am not by any means a chocolate fan. I’ll even go so far as to say I hate chocolate. I despise chocolate. However, I’m still female, and as a female, it’s practically a necessity to be chocolate crazed. And that is why I get my “fix” through lip balm. Lip balm featuring creepy rosy-cheeked children with uneven bangs.
PRICE: Currently $5.00 on Sephora
PACKAGING: I have two varieties of Hershey lip balm from on10. One is the Almond, and that is in an almost square .4oz tin with a cap that is easily pulled off. The other is the Milk Chocolate (pictured above), and that is a rectangular .5oz tin with a slide-on lid. Both proudly display the Hershey logo, and flavor, and both feature a vintage picture of a creepy child. The ingredients are written stupidly small on the bottom of each tin. My one and only complaint about the packaging (aside from those disturbing children) is how easily the lids come off.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: This is a tub-balm, and therefore, a little finger action is needed. In the tin, it feels as though the texture is very solid and hard, but a little swipe of the finger, and you have a surprising amount of balm to spread on your lips. It takes a little while to get enough to cover your lips, but that could just be me, seeing that I have lips the size of a newborn child’s face. Once applied to the lips, the texture is smooth, creamy, and pretty light. I was honestly kind of surprised by this, due to the nature of the lip balm. You don’t usually find that a company sporting Disney characters and soda companies also sells quality lip balm.
SMELL/FLAVOR: As I said before, I have these in two flavors: Milk Chocolate and Almond. Milk Chocolate smells remarkably like Hershey’s milk chocolate, and Almond smells like an almond. I’m not 100% sure if they intended to have that chocolate-almond smell, which I don’t get at all from this lip balm, so I’m going to assume that wasn’t their intention. I think I would like it more, if it did have the chocolate scent also.
LASTING POWER: Due to the lightness of the balm, the lasting power isn’t the greatest. Maybe a half hour, give or take. It would probably last longer, if I spent a little more of my precious time applying, but I don’t have five years to apply a lip balm.
ANYTHING ELSE: This contains SPF 15. So, yay! You can enjoy your chocolate lip balm and bask in the glow of the summer sun! Life really doesn’t get any better than that, does it? And as if that wasn’t awesome enough, for a novelty balm, it softens my lips pretty darn well. A+.
OVERALL: Okay, I’m not a chocolate fan. I’m just not. And I’m not a fan of those creepy children, and I wish that the lids would stay on a little better. However, the quality of the lip balm is surprising, and I think I might have to try a flavor or two from this company that’s more to my liking.

I’m really excited that these got a good review! Too many times I go into Sephora and want these things but I often question their worth. Cheetah(Quote)

I have some slide tins that don’t always close well- I find if I take the lid off- turn it upside down and gently press the center of the open end it always seems to make the lids click closed- I hope I explained that well enough!! lol Ashley(Quote)
are these balms only available online or can you get them in stores too? Sandy(Quote)
