Let me just tell you once again how much I love repeat reviewers. It really makes me feel so loved that there are people out there that take so much interest in this blog, to the point where they not only write one review, but multiple reviews. That really warms my heart like a cup of rich chocolatey Ovaltine Hot on a crisp December evening.

PACKAGING: It’s a fun, chunky tube! I like that it’s slightly curved and thicker than the standard balm tube. There is no cap on this balm. You pull the outer covering off and you’re left with the white tube of balm on the inside like a sheath. It’s kind of interesting.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: I like that the stick of balm is bigger than most so I don’t waste time spreading it on (I have so many other important things to do with my time.) A really neat thing about the balm is that it’s rounded on top, unlike most cheap balms that are flat. This makes it easier to glide on and requires less pushing. It glides on easily. I would call the texture smooth and it’s slightly thick but not heavy. A good, sturdy balm. No grit whatsover. I don’t even feel it on my lips really, but when I press them together I know it’s still there. It’s nice knowing I can talk without my lips being all gummy from greasy balm. In addition to this it’s slightly tinted a pretty violet sheen. So it’s almost like a gloss. I like that it does double-duty.
SMELL/FLAVOR: I got this in Passion Fruit flavor. It sort of smells like what my boyfriend so candidly describes as “Chemical Berry”. It’s mildly fruity but very artificially so. It’s not overpowering but it’s also not very yummy, either. The taste isn’t bad and it’s kind of tingly. Sort of just tastes like faint tangyness.
LASTING POWER: Probably a half hour to an hour, depending on how much you put on.
OVERALL: I think it’s a fun balm for every day use. It’s tinted and glossy so I can use it both as a light lip gloss/lip stick without overpowering color. It’s great for being subtly sexy and soft and it’s moisturizing. I don’t care much for the slightly tangy flavor but I’m not going to complain too much. I’ll definitely use it every day.
