Living Nutz Lip Balm

I love hemp lip balm. Did you know that? Well, I do. I love it. Unfortunately, it has a bad rep, because of it’s marijuana cousin, but really, they’re two totally different things. You can read about the benefits of hemp seed oil here.

PRICE: $2.99 at Intellihemp

PACKAGING: Standard sized tube. These labels are fun. I love the little lighthouse logo, and the fun fonts they use for the brand, product, and flavor names. Very cute. There’s a short blurb about the product, and a short list of ingredients. Nothing too fancy or over the top, but I like it.

TEXTURE/GLIDE: The glide on this balm is all right. Nothing really to write home about. It’s a little tough at first, but once you get it going, it’s decent. Still requires a tug every now and then. The texture, though, is really nice. Very smooth and creamy.

SMELL/FLAVOR: I have this in Wild Blueberry, Sweet Orange, and Mom’s Apple Pie (also available in Cherry, Spearmint, and Peppermint). All three are pretty awesome. Wild Blueberry smells exactly like blueberries. Sweet Orange is a light, orangey scent. And Mom’s Apple Pie is so good. Cinnamon, apple.. I seriously want to eat the friggin’ balm. I won’t. Don’t worry. But I want to.

LASTING POWER: Your standard amount of time. Two hours or so. What it does to your lips, though, is amazing, and you will reapply. I have no doubt about that.

INGREDIENTS: Hempseed oil, organic calendula infusion oil, pure Maine beeswax, essential oils and or natural flavoring, vit. E. (taken from Intellihemp)

OVERALL: If you’re interested in checking out what hemp seed oil can do for your lips, I suggest checking this out. It’s a great balm, and although the glide could use a little work, I definitely recommend it.
