Lily Gulch Soaps Lip Balm

Lily Gulch Soaps Lip Balm

Every once in awhile, I come across a company that intrigues me like no other. Whether it’s their way of advertising, or their unique packaging, or their variety of flavors, something about them ropes me in, and I find myself hooked.

That’s been the case with Lily Gulch Soaps. This company is Heaven, if you’re into the whole aromatherapy thing. And if you’re not, then uh, move along and find another review to read.

PRICE: $3.50 at Lily Gulch Soaps

PACKAGING: Your standard sized black tube adorned with a gold label, featuring the brand logo, flavor name, and ingredients. The contrast of the font with the shiny label is a little hard for me to read, but that’s because my eyes are messed up. Don’t mind me.

TEXTURE/GLIDE: Incredibly smooth glide. The texture is creamy and light, but not light enough to make you wonder if you’re really wearing lip balm.

SMELL/FLAVOR: I am absolutely in love with the variety of flavors this company has. I want them all. But not only is it a variety, but I dare you to try and find some of those scents anywhere else. Chances are, you won’t find them.
I have eight of the many flavors. I’ll try my best to describe them, but it’s going to be difficult to do.

Heather – This has an herb-y type of smell to it.

Sandalwood Vanilla – I nearly died when I saw a sandalwood scented lip balm. I am a huge fan of sandalwood, and you can clearly smell the sandalwood with a hint of vanilla. So good.

Rosewood Mint – A light mint with a hints of rosewood.

Candied Evergreen – A sweet evergreen smell. Very Christmas-y.

Lime Patchouli – A very light lime blended with patchouli. Almost reminds me of 7-Up.

Carrot Seed & Frankincense – I really have no idea how to explain this one. It’s spicy, it’s very herb-y, it has hints of something almost sweet.. It’s all over the place, and I like it.

Vanilla Chai – It smells like vanilla chai. A little more on the “chai” side, but still, vanilla chai.

Patchouli Orange – Very patchouli. I don’t smell a very strong orange scent, but I can tell there are undertones of it somewhere.

LASTING POWER: About two hours. And the scent of the balm lasts until the balm wears off. With a lot of balms, their scent wears away long before the balm does, but that’s definitely not the case with these.

OVERALL: I personally love these. A lot. These are definitely not very everybody, though. But if you’re a person into aromatherapy and want some more adult lip balms, I recommend checking these out.
