I am a fan of “cute”. I like cute fonts, I like cute label designs, I like cute brand names, and there’s something incredibly cute about the name Honeybee Gardens and the design of their labels. That would be exactly why I bought this balm — it’s serious “cute factor”.
PRICE: $2.50 at Edible Nature. You can also purchase all four of their flavors as a “sample pack” off of their website: Honeybee Gardens
PACKAGING: Like I said, it’s cute. Your standard tube, with a very earthy feeling label. Cute drawings, cute font, and one of the shortest lists of ingredients I think I have ever seen printed on a stick o’ balm (and not printed in a size font that’s impossible to read). I like.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: They are true to their word when they say “not waxy, never greasy”. It’s a very pleasant, creamy texture and sits comfortably on my lips without that urge to wipe it off.
SMELL/FLAVOR: I purchased this in Orange Mimosa (also available in Strawberry Champagne, Vanilla Pie, and Tropical). I’m really not sure what made me decide to go with the Orange, when I could’ve bought the Strawberry Champagne or the Vanilla Pie — flavors that would be much more “me”. But however out of character it was for me to buy this, I’m glad I did. Think Creamsicle, but without so much emphasis on the cream. It’s very orange, with a slight hint of creaminess. Very nice. My only complaint would be the bizarre taste of this balm. I will very rarely mention how a balm tastes, unless it really does taste like something noticable, and this balm does. It has a very bitter taste that I’m not a fan of.
LASTING POWER: The label claims that this is a “long lasting lip balm”, and I’m not sure I can agree with that. Because of it’s very, very creamy texture, it doesn’t have much sticking power. I’d say it lasts for an hour, an hour and a half tops, before you have to reapply.
OVERALL: Here we have a cute balm that smells nice, feels good, and won’t break the bank. If only it didn’t have that funky taste, but perhaps one of the other flavors would taste better.

I started using this lip balm when the only flavor they had was “Tropical”, and I loved it at the time. Now I’m not a fan of “Tropical” at all, but the other flavors are pretty yummy! G – Lip Balm JUNKIE(Quote)
