I actually have no idea if that’s the real name of this lip balm. On the tube, it makes it seem like it is, and then on the website, it makes it seem like the “murumuru” isn’t supposed to be included in the title but is actually a part of the flavor name. I have no clue. I’m just going to leave it the way I wrote it because that’s what it indicates on the tube, and if anybody is confused, then um.. Yeah, join the club.
So, this is a lip balm from Everyday Minerals. Some of you might remember that I previously reviewed a tinted lip balm from this company. They’ve clearly moved along, because there are now product pictures on the website. Yay for progression!
PRICE: $4.00 at Everyday Minerals
PACKAGING: Here’s your standard sized tube with an extremely simple label. Brand logo is printed pretty small but visible, product/flavor names are also printed pretty small alongside the brand logo.. And then you have the ingredients list, which actually isn’t totally microscopic. That’s always impressive when that happens. Um.. Yeah. I really can’t say much more about this because well, there’s nothing else to describe. Like I said, extremely simple.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: The glide is incredibly, incredibly smooth. I’ll go out on a limb here and say that it’s almost too smooth, and if you apply just a liiiiittle too much pressure, you could easily mush this stuff into oblivion. The formula is very soft, so watch out for that, and meltage. The texture on the lips is very creamy and nice, and not too light without being too thick as well. I’d even maybe call it “just right”, but let’s not get crazy here.
SMELL/FLAVOR: I only have this in Lavender Mint. While everything about this balm is pretty decent, this is probably my favorite aspect. I don’t really see lavender and mint being mixed too often. Probably because lavender is supposed to relax you, while mint is meant to wake you up. So, if you want to look at it that way, then this combo really doesn’t make much sense. But when you look at it for what it really is, two scents being mixed together, it’s a really nice combination. And hey, look at it as being woken up to this really serene level.
LASTING POWER: I’d say it lasts a couple hours before totally wearing off.
INGREDIENTS: olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, astrocaryum (murumuru) seed butter, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, calendula officinalis flower extract, daucus carota sativa (carrot) seed oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, mentha piperita (peppermint) leaf oil, mentha viridis (spearmint) leaf oil, tocopherol (taken from Everyday Minerals). Keep in mind that the flavor oils will differ depending on what flavor you’re getting.
OVERALL: This is pretty good. Nothing overly spectacular, but when you review this many lip balms, it’s very rare you come across something really amazing and unique. So, keeping that in mind, I’m pretty satisfied with this one.

When was the last time a balm disappointed you?
