E. Burnham Lip Session

E. Burnham Lip Session

It is an awesome day today. Beautiful weather, got my mom’s Mother’s Day present (but she might read this, so gotta keep it on the down low).. And an awesome day calls for an awesome lip balm! So, I’m bringing you one from E. Burnham — check it out!

PRICE: $4.50 for two at E. Burnham (scroll down to the bottom). This is an AWESOME value.

PACKAGING: The ever famous tub balm, and you get a whole lot of balm in this tub (1/3oz). As you can see, the tubs are clear with a little white cap (except for the Vanilla flavor, which is all white). The lid features a label with the flavor name and product name, and what the product is for. The bottom of the little pot has another label, featuring very tiny warnings and ingredients that I can’t read. Honestly, it’s not very exciting, but what’s inside is..

TEXTURE/GLIDE: When you first stick your finger in, it has a jelly-like texture to it. It’s easily retrieved from the tub, and gliding it on is a breeze. It’s very smooth and creamy. A little on the thin side, so a couple coats isn’t such a bad idea. What I really love, aside from the creaminess, is that you’d expect it to leave a glossy sheen on your lips, but it doesn’t. At all. Big fan.

SMELL/FLAVOR: This comes in Banana, Strawberry, and Vanilla. Banana is my favorite of the bunch. It smells very close to banana Laffy Taffy, which just so happens to be one of my favorite candies. Very sweet, very banana. Strawberry isn’t the most true-to-life strawberry flavor I’ve had, but it’s good. Sweet, slightly berry-like. Vanilla is, well, vanilla. Not a bad vanilla, but not the greatest either.

LASTING POWER: Well, because of it’s light texture, I expected this to last for a fairly short amount of time. But um, I was wrong. It lasts for about two hours or so, which is impressive.

INGREDIENTS: Not on the site, and can’t read them off the tub.

ANYTHING ELSE: This can also be used for cold sores, apparently. Can’t tell you how well it works, but that’s what it claims.

OVERALL: For that price, you really can’t go wrong with this stuff. It feels great, and smells pretty darn good, and it certainly won’t make your wallet shed a tear. Unless you only have $4.50, in which case, yeah, it’ll cry.
