I’ve had this lip balm sitting around for awhile now. I kind of forgot I even owned it, which will hopefully give you some idea of how much I actually like this. It could also have something to do with having tons of other lip balms to use, but.. Nah. I’m just not too partial to this one.
PRICE: $12.00 at Sephora
PACKAGING: The word that comes to my mind is “clean”. I like the simplicity of the label (note: no stickers on this tube — everything is printed directly onto the tube). The plastic of this tube is harder than your standard lip balm tube, and I’m not too sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. It’s that type of plastic that, if hit or dropped hard enough, it would shatter. Now, I’m not accusing anybody of chucking their lip balms at brick walls, but.. You never know.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: Ugh, okay.. When I first get a balm, I want to use it and appreciate it right away. I don’t want to break it in first, and that’s the case with this balm. Not only that, but in order to “break it in”, you need to apply a tiny bit of pressure when shmearing it over your lips, BUT don’t apply too much pressure or else you’ll moosh the whole thing and then you’re out $12. The glide is pretty much nonexistant, and you need to, like I said, break it in. On the lips, the texture is all right. Not the worst, but certainly not the best.
SMELL/FLAVOR: I really don’t know what it is about the lip balm I buy, but here’s another one that smells slightly of Play-Doh. However, I will say that the Play-Doh scent is slight, and you don’t notice it unless you’re really looking for it. Apparently I was.
LASTING POWER: The lasting power of this balm is pretty good. I applied it an hour or so ago, and it’s still going strong. Not sure if I’d call it an “all day balm”, but it’s not too bad. The upside is that it smells so gross that you won’t feel the need to lick it off.
OVERALL: They call this an “intensive lip care product”, but I just don’t see it. The reviews on other sites are impressive, but to me, there’s nothing too spectacular about this, especially not for the price.

I agree with you on this one along with many of your other reviews. I like other products by Caudalie, but this balm is absolutely nothing special, kind of dry and seems like not that much in the tube. Plus, overpriced. Messina(Quote)
