Carol’s Daughter Lip Butter

Carol’s Daughter Lip Butter

My first question when finding this brand was, “Who is Carol’s daughter?” And luckily for me, it says so right on the website, because clearly, Lisa Price (Carol’s daughter) can read minds. Read about Lisa Price here!

There’s something about this company that makes you feel really good. Really warm and fuzzy on the inside. The website is covered in pictures of great looking products, and great looking, happy women. In fact, I really want to give Lisa a hug. She seems to be a happy, bubbly, huggable woman, and I like hugs.

PRICE: $7.00 at Carol’s Daughter

PACKAGING: A .4oz tin full of balm to the friggin’ brim. The tin is nice and compact, making it easy for pocket-toting. The lid is easily pulled off, but not so much that you have to be afraid of it popping off in your bag. There is a label on the top, stating the product name with a brand logo underneath. On the bottom, there is another label, listing the ingredients. It’s a simple tin, a simple design, but not cold and impersonal. It has a friendly feel to it.

TEXTURE/GLIDE: At first touch, the balm actually feels a little gritty in the tin. I was a little worried I wouldn’t be happy with this. But after swiping my finger across the top, and applied to my lips, I discovered that the glide is great, and that the texture is creamy and smooth. Not at all gritty. It’s light, but not so light that you have to remember if you applied balm or not. I’m a big fan of the way this feels.

SMELL/FLAVOR: Sweet, sweet almond. And honestly, I’m not a fan of almond scents, usually. But this is so light, and so sweet, that I really enjoy it.

LASTING POWER: The average amount of time, I’d say, which would be a couple of hours. Considering the lightness of the balm, this impresses me.

INGREDIENTS: Sweet almond oil, beeswax, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, shea butter, vanilla, and essential oil of bitter almond.

OVERALL: This balm has found a permanent spot in my bag. I have fallen in love, and nobody can tell me I’m wrong. Kudos to Carol’s daughter, Lisa Price, for doing something incredibly right with this lip butter.
