I have a confession to make. I wanted to try this lip balm for one reason, and one reason only, and that reason is.. There is a “crow” in beecrowbee. There, I said it. It’s a little embarrassing, but you see, the whole crow thing kind of follows me around. My favorite band is the Counting Crows, my favorite movie is The Crow, so it seemed only fitting that I should try a lip balm with “crow” in the name. Is it as good as the band and the movie? Weeell..
PRICE: $3.50 at beecrowee
PACKAGING: It’s your standard sized tube. The brand name is printed very boldly on top of a nice flowery background. Printed beneath the brand name is the product and flavor names. A very short and easy to read ingredients list is printed below, and there you have it. Very simple, but nice.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: This stuff really does give good glide. I really am impressed. Very often I find that beeswax lip balm tends to be a little stiff and tough to get going at first, but that wasn’t the case here. At the same time, though, it’s not too easy, or oily. It’s pretty freakin’ good, if you ask me. The texture is smooth and creamy, and not thick, nor light. It’s actually pretty close to perfect, honestly.
SMELL/FLAVOR: Woah, can we say “peppermint”? This stuff really is very extremely minty. Not complaining. I’m just saying. It gives a nice cooling effect on the lips as well, and as long as it’s not burning my lips, I’m a fan of the cooling sensation.
LASTING POWER: About two hours or so. Not too bad.
INGREDIENTS: beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, vitamin e oil, peppermint essential oil
OVERALL: This stuff is nice. If you’re a fan of very minty balms with a nice cooling sensation without the burn, I highly recommend this one.
