Altitude Lip Balm

Altitude Lip Balm

I am a part of My Shimmer, and through that wonderful community, I am sometimes sent products for review. They’re kinda like that middle man, instead of having to go directly through a company. This lip balm from Altitude is one of the products I was recently sent. So, uh, this is my review.

PRICE: $2.00 at Altitude

PACKAGING: Okay, so this is your standard sized tube o’ balm. And honestly.. The label irritates me. You have the brand name in their signature font, but it’s not very clear. For the longest time, I thought it said “attitude”. Maybe that’s because I’m blind, I don’t know. After that, you have the flavor name, which is written clearly enough. After that are the ingredients, aaand that’s it. You wanna know what got to me the most about this? The lack of any information on where to actually buy the product. You get the big brands, like Blistex or Chapstick, and you know where to pick that up. You get most other brands, and they always at least include the URL to their site on the packaging. But this? Nothing. I went crazy trying to find the site, and I finally had to ask for it. So, yeah. Very annoying. Other than that, it’s okay, I suppose. Nothing really fancy.

TEXTURE/GLIDE: I love the glide on this balm. It literally glides, and the texture is incredibly smooth and creamy. It’s not super light, but it’s definitely not thick either, and I think everybody is a fan of that.

SOFTEN/SOOTHE: I don’t know how well it soothes, but it definitely softens and moisturizes very well.

SHINE/COLOR: It has a very slight natural sheen. Not exactly what I’d call shiny.

SMELL/FLAVOR: I only have this in the Au Natural variety, which is totally unscented.

LASTING POWER: This lasts for quite awhile. I’d say about two hours or so.

INGREDIENTS: beeswax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, castor oil, candelilla wax, (flavour or essential oil). (taken from Altitude)

OVERALL: So, greatest balm ever? No. But it is definitely decent, and for $2, you really can’t go wrong. I definitely would suggest to the company adding some sort of info about themselves on the label, though. Makes it rather difficult to find them.

What do you think?

Yay or Nay?
