A friend of mine once sent me the link to LuSa Organics, and the moment I checked out their site, I knew I had to try their lip balm. The site is so serene and pretty, and I don’t know.. Something just told me the lip balm would be awesome.
PRICE: $3.75 at LuSa Organics
PACKAGING: Your standard size tube. The label is nicely designed, proudly displaying the brand and product names. The flavor name is written below both in a smaller font, but I like that the flavor name is on a different colored background. Helps it stand out more. There is a somewhat short list of ingredients written in a font that I can’t read. The label is decorated with what appears to be leaves, and this adds a very pretty, natural feel to it.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: It’s an incredibly, incredibly smooth glide. No tugging required whatsoever. The texture on the lips is smooth, and it’s one of those balms that you can tell is working the second you apply it. Your lips just kinda suck it up. Which is really nice, ’cause my lips are — GASP! — a little chapped right now.
SMELL/FLAVOR: I have the Citrus Blend (also available in Healing and Herbal), which is sweet orange and ginger. I’m very much a fan of flavors that smell exactly like what they’re supposed to be, and that’s definitely the case with this balm. Definitely orange and ginger, and it’s a pleasant scent. Hell, and I hardly like citrus scents.
LASTING POWER: About two hours. Once worn off, your lips feel soft, and not really begging for more. But you know, you’ll reapply anyway. Just ’cause it’s that good.
INGREDIENTS: *Avocado oil, castor oil, local beeswax, *evening primrose oil; sweet orange, ginger, and lime essential oils; and tocopherol (vitamin e). *certified organic ingredient (taken from LuSa Organics)
OVERALL: I really love this balm. Smooth, soft, smells good, nice appearance, organic.. What’s there not to love?
