I have several lip balms from Cactus & Ivy, and at first, I was going to combine all of them into one review. But they’re each pretty different from the others, so I decided to do separate reviews for each of them (and I apologize for repeating this paragraph multiple times, but I’m lazy).
PRICE: $3.50 at Cactus & Ivy
PACKAGING: Standard sized tube (don’t you get sick of me saying that?). I really love this company’s logo. It’s very natural and relaxing to look at. The flavor and ingredients are written in bold lettering, making them a little easier to read than some other brands out there.
TEXTURE/GLIDE: Oh, this stuff is good. Really, really good. The glide is very soft and buttery. It almost tricks you into believing that the texture on your lips will be thick and heavy, but that’s not the case at all. The texture is pretty light, but not so light that you worry about it wearing off before it’s time. I’m definitely a fan.
SMELL/FLAVOR: Surprisingly enough, it smells exactly like vanilla flavored soy milk. Okay, considering that it’s “soy milk lip balm”, I shouldn’t be so surprised, but.. I am. I didn’t think this was a scent easily captured, but this is damn good. Bravo, Cactus & Ivy, bravo.
LASTING POWER: About two hours, maybe two and a half at most. And I should add, when it wears off, your lips are soft and smooth. I’m not gonna lie.. You’ll probably want to touch them all the live long day. Try it. You’ll see what I mean.
OVERALL: This lip balm is incredible. Definitely my favorite from Cactus & Ivy. I’d have to really try hard to find something wrong with it, and I’m not going to do that.
